Bio

Virgil Gadson is an acclaimed dancer, actor, choreographer, and educator from Philadelphia,PA. Although he is known for his Hip-Hop excellence, he has integrated a broad spectrum of dance genres into his canon such as Modern, Jazz, African, Ballet and Tap. Virgil has taught Freestyle Training, Hip Hop Grooves, History and Foundation Techniques classes at acclaimed dance studios such as Broadway Dance Center, Exile Professional Gym and Millennium Dance Complex. He has taught masterclasses at NYU, U of Arts, UPenn and Drexel University. He has been a guest artist at multiple dance conventions including Titans of Dance, Shake the Ground and Turn It Up.

Virgil has showcased his skillset in several acclaimed dance institutions, live events & commercials, as well as dance alongside several artists.

  • America’s Got Talent, MTV‘s America’s Best Dance Crew, and placed as a Top 4 finalist on Season 12 of So You Think You Can Dance.

In 2014, his Broadway debut as a principal dancer/actor in a Tony nominated show led him towards an award nomination, including his role in an encore production starring Vanessa Hudgens & Anthony Ramos.

  • Fred Astaire Award nominee for “After Midnight” – starring Dule Hill, Fantasia Barrino, Patti LaBelle, Tony Braxton, Babyface, K.D. Lang, and Vanessa Williams.
